We all believe democracy trumps all forms of government.

We are a free people, part of a government created for and by the people.

When information flows freely, we know what's going on and are a stronger society.

Freedom of information is a right shared by all of us - not just journalists.

Even though classified information will always be protected, we need to be able to obtain all other information.

Potential legislation in Congress - The OPEN GOVERNMENT Act - should be supported.

It would strengthen current loopholes in the Freedom of Information Act and give us more timely answers to information requests.

Legislation promoting open government is referred to as sunshine laws.

LET THE SUN SHINE!
