If you didn't catch on that peaches are big in Clanton, maybe you should just look up!
In the early 90's, the city built a 120 feet tall giant peach water tower. It's clearly visible from Interstate 65, and it's been included in a documentary about small towns building big things.
The giant peach holds 500,000 gallons of water. Clanton's giant peach tower isn't the biggest, though. A peach of a watertower located in Gaffney, South Carolina's is about twice the size of our own homegrown peach
