Take a simple stroll through downtown Andalusia and you'll find out why Mayor Jerry Andrews says this city is great.
Andrews says, "The easiest thing to sell about Andalusia is the beauty of the town and the people that are here."
Andalusia is just a hop, skip and jump away from cities like Pensacola, Montgomery and Dothan.
The mayor considers that a real plus. He hopes, before drivers reach their destination, that they will stop here to eat and fill up their gas tanks to see the beauty of the town.
The mayor says Andalusia is on the map and he's working to make sure others know it.
His city is turning it's attention to bringing high paying jobs to the area. They are also building homes, and preserving historical buildings and the town square.
So, the next time a person passes through, they will stop.
Not because they have to, but because they want too.
