2007 Hurricane Season Projections

Hurricane season is on the horizon and a research team says the Gulf Coast will see it's fair share of action.

A relatively new team of storm predictors which correctly predicted a mild season in 2006 said the Atlantic Basin will brew 8 to 9 hurricanes and at least 4 of them will be major storms.

The researchers at North Carolina State University say there's a 75% chance a hurricane will make landfall along the Eastern Seaboard or hit the Gulf of Mexico.

Speaking of hurricanes a new study by teh National Oceanic and Atmospherica Administration says global warming could actually be good for the hurricane season.

Researchers at NOAA say the global warming epidemic may be making it harder for hurricanes to form!

Hurricane season begins June 1st.
