Montgomery police have arrested a man for the murder of a 23-year-old woman. Police filed the lone murder count just before noon Monday after questioning their prime suspect for about seven hours.
The investigation started Sunday night when someone found Tiffany Nicole Holloway dead in a motel. Holloway was living at the Airport Inn and her attack apparently went after her inside her room.
Police aren't releasing an official cause of death.
"Based on the way the scene was set up we do believe we have enough information to indicate foul play exists," said Captain Huey Thornton.
State records show the suspect, Michael Jerome Sharp, has a long criminal history that includes violent crime-- and two rape charges as late as four years ago.
Police say they're conducting a full autopsy on Tiffany Holloway's body before releasing the cause of death.
