NBC News is reporting that the U.S. military has confirmed 9 U.S. soldiers are dead and another 20 were wounded along with an Iraqi civilian in a suicide car bombing against a patrol base northeast of Baghdad.
Of those wounded, 15 soldiers were treated and returned to duty while five others were evacuated to a medical facility. NBC News reports the soldiers were members of Task Force Lightning. No names have been released.
