Montgomery Academy Classmates Claim Hitchcock Awards

Two Montgomery Academy seniors are the 2007 Jimmy Hitchcock Memorial Award Winners.

Amelia McCall and David Barrington are being honored for their Christian leadership in athletics.

Fifty-three of Montgomery's finest high school seniors were recognized Thursday at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church at the 48th annual Hitchcock ceremony.

McCall is a three-sport star for the Eagles, excelling in basketball, volleyball and track and field.

Barrington, a standout offensive lineman, also plays basketball and track and field.

McCall attends The Way International, a home-based church.

Barrington is a leader in the student ministry at First Baptist Church.

Barrington will play football at Furman.

McCall will volleyball at Emory.
