We need to plan now to greet them well.
Many will come by plane.
An airport shuttle service established last week between a local limo company and area hotels is a positive move that will help.
But more must be done.
Right now our airport has no welcome center and taxi service can be a challenge.
Newcomers as well as regular visitors with the military and area businesses would benefit by a welcome center and better taxi service.
Enhancing taxi service would require strong oversight by the city to help build a workable business model.
Providing people with a safe, customer friendly experience both when they arrive in town and head to their destination is more than a public relations touch - it is essential to capitalize on the tremendous upside on our horizon.
