What started out as a strange early morning shooting has taken an even more bizarre twist Wednesday afternoon.
Just after nine that morning, two men drove into a south Montgomery apartment complex and opened fire on a group of people standing outside.
All four victims were O.K. after treatment at Baptist Hospital - but unless things change quickly, police won't arrest anyone and we could see more violence later on.
The incident started just after nine when a gold colored car entered the gardens of Cloverland Apartment Complex.
Investigators say one of two men inside spotted five people outside this unit, got out of the car and fired several shots, hitting the four victims.
One man escaped injury and cooperated with officers. At first, police had little to work with.
At this time we do not have anyone in custody however we are working some very promising leads as far as a suspect. Unsure of what the motive is," said Captain Huey Thornton.
But late Wednesday afternoon, police told us the victims had apparently sold fake marijuana to the two attackers and they retaliated with the gun.
