Valley officials are taking time to remember Army Sergeant Brandon Hadaway today.
A public visitation will be held Thursday night at the Valley Community Center from 6pm until 9pm eastern time.
Tim Bryan, a Valley City Administrator, says," A military honor guard will be with his remains the entire time to pay honor to him. It's an opportunity for the citizens to come out and do the same.">
Friday at 5pm a public memorial will be held at the community center. F
Friday will be a local flag day in Sergeant Hadaway's honor.
Bryan says, "We want everyone who has property to display an American flag on their property. If they have a vehicle, display it properly on the vehicle. We'll certainly have the flags out all day Friday to honor these brave men and women."
Sergeant Hadaway graduated from Valley High School and was on his third tour of duty when his Chinook helicopter was brought down by enemy fire.
He is survived by a wife and three sons.
