Covering Lowndes County: $1 Million Dollars for Renovation

On Tuesday, Congressman Artur Davis announced a $1 Million dollar appropriation for the city of Selma.  The money will be used to build a civil rights interpretive center and visitors center similar to the one in Lowndes County.  The center is dedicated to the people who marched from Selma to Montgomery for their right to vote.  The new center will be built at the corner of Broad Street and Water Avenue.
