Newton Police Officer Resigns After Sex Abuse Investigation

A South Alabama Police officer has resigned after being accused of sexually abusing two children.

Officer Harold Frost turned in his badge in the small town of Newton in Dale County.

The Alabama Bureau of Investigation arrested Frost last week.

He was released from the Coffee County jail under a $70,000 bond.

He's charged with abusing two girls, ages 8 and 9 years old.

Frost maintains his innocence but resigned voluntarily.
