The street lights of Andalusia could soon go off if the utilities board doesn't agree to lower the rates it charges the city.

Mayor Jerry Andrews says a new 3% rate increase will cost the city an additional 400 to 450 thousand dollars a year.

Two utilities board members have agreed to sit down with the mayor and other city officials to work out the problems.
