Obesity in Alabama

It's no secret Alabamians rank high when it comes to obesity.

But this year's survey by "The Trust for America's Health" ranks Alabama the third most obese in the country.

Only Mississippi and West Virginia have a "bigger problem" when it comes to waist lines and the effects of being seriously overweight.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found last year that more than 22 percent of Americans did not engage in any physical activity in the past month.

By the way the leanest state in the nation: Colorado.
