Greenville Man in Hospital After Log Slams into His Vehicle

Ramer, Ala. Sept 5, 2007--A man lies in a Montgomery area hospital after a piece of wood fell from the back of logging truck and slammed into his vehicle.

The incident happened on Highway 94 in Ramer, in Montgomery County, around noon Tuesday.

The piece of wood went through the windshield of 23-year-old James Renney's vehicle.

Mr. Renney was airlifted to Baptist South hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

The truck driver continued on unaware of what had occurred.

An investigation by Alabama State Troopers is ongoing.
