Six years ago this week our country prayed together as we began the healing process from a horrific attack that stabbed us all in the gut.
We were unified.
We appreciated more deeply our loved ones, the gift of life and how fleeting our time on earth can be. It moved some of us to make major changes in our lives.
We all try to make positives out of even the most negative situations and circumstances.
Let's remember how we felt that week and realize that for all of our differences, we are one as Americans.
Let's get to know our neighbors better, our co-workers better, the members of our faith community better.
In doing so, we can pay tribute to all of our fellow Americans and their families who were harmed on 9/11.
