Judge Retiring After 25 Years on the Bench

A well-known Montgomery judge is setting down the gavel and stepping stepping away from her bench.

Judge Lynn Bright, who is the presiding judge of the Montgomery County District Court announced Friday her last day on the job will be October 26, 2007.

She's served in Montgomery for nearly 25 years after being elected to 4 terms.

Judge Bright is Montgomery Mayor Bobby Bright's wife.

She says she wants to focus on her famil and her role as first lady of Montgomery.
