Judge Bright Retires From the Judiciary

Montgomery's first lady Lynn Bright, is leaving her post, not as first lady, but as a Montgomery District Judge.

24 years ago, governor george wallace appointed ms. Bright to the bench.

Since then she's been elected to 4 terms in office.

Her husband, the mayor, says with his wife's retirement, their routine drive to downtown montgomery every morning ...just won't be the same.

During Judge Bright's time on the bench, she piloted the county's first domestic violence docket...drug court program...and specialized DUI docket...

She will be missed.
