Greenville Gets New Weather Siren

In severe weather situations timing is everything.

Now the city of Greenville will have more time to prepare in hazardous weather situations thanks to a federal grant.

The grant will help the city purchase a new emergency weather warning siren.

The fire chief tells WSFA 12 News it located in the area around Bates House of Turkey.

A federal grant will pay for the system, which is currently up for bid.
