South Perry Street Fire Causes Thousands of Dollars in Damage

A fire on Montgomery's west side caused thousands of dollars in damage.

Four fire trucks responded to the blaze around noon Monday on South Perry Street. They had the blaze under control in about 15 minutes. But it still did about $20,000 in damage to the home.

Thankfully, no one was at home at the time. Investigators say that an unattended candle may have started the fire.
