Montgomery Zoo to Raise Rates

Want to see all the cute animals at the Montgomery Zoo?

Now it will cost you a little more to do so.

That's because the zoo is having to raise its rates.

According to Marcia Woodard, Deputy Director to the Montgomery Zoo, the increase in admission is due to the fact that the general cost of doing business has increased over the past six years since.

2001 saw the last increase.

Zoo officials go on to say that new exhibits have been added to the facility without an increase in admission prices, and that even with the new prices the Montgomery Zoo is still cheaper than any other zoo within 300 miles.
