Constitutional Reform Not Likely To Happen This Legislative Session

After all the hype and controversy, it seems efforts to rewrite all or parts of Alabama's 1901 constitution appears to be dead for the current legislative session. A resolution to let voters decide on calling a Constitutional Convention was indefinitely delayed in the House Thursday.

Governor Don Siegelman is also putting it off. saying that a special session might be the best time to reintroduce the resolution calling for a vote on the Constitution.
