Two Companies Bringing Jobs to Montgomery

Two companies are making big, economic announcements for the Montgomery area. Hussmann Corporation is responsible for the biggest chunk of the expansion. That company has plans to hire 200 people and also renovate its facility here.

Hussmann specializes in coolers for supermarkets, convenience and specialty stores, and processing plants. The company will rebuild its 100,000 square foot plant to accommodate jobs that are coming from its Seattle plant.

Hussmann executives say the jobs will pay between $7 to $12 per hour, not including the professional positions. Those jobs will pay much higher.

The other big job announcement Monday came from 'Norment Security Group'. The company says it needs at least 30 new workers by June, when it expands into a new 75,000 square foot plant on Mitchell Young Road in Montgomery.
