New Information: Two Montgomery Police Officers Injured in Motorcycle Accident

Two Montgomery motorcycle officers were taken to Jackson Hospital after a collision near downtown Montgomery.

Authorities say the officers were thrown from their motor units just after 2pm Tuesday afternoon. A car was also involved in the wreck.

Doctors at Jackson Hospital say 45-year-old Corporal G. Manora is recovering from minor neck and back injuries.  However, there is no exact word on the condition of 33-year-old Officer J.A. Tolliber's leg injuries.

Authorities say the accident happened near the Columbus - Mcdonough Street intersection. Police say the motorcycle officers were traveling in the far left lane, when a driver in the center lane tried to turn left colliding with the units.

Corporal Manera is a 15 year veteran of the Montgomery Police Department.  Officer J.A. Tolliber has been with the force 4 years. Both are expected to make a full recovery.
