Police Officers Honored

Six police officers received awards at the Attorney General's law enforcement summit on Tuesday.   The officers were from the Warrior, Tuscaloosa, Jackson police departments, a State Trooper and a Dekalb County Sheriff's Deputy. They were each given a gift certificate for one of the Retirement System of Alabama Resorts and a framed certificate of merit.

The Attorney General also honored two Montgomery Officers who died in the line of duty. Officer Keith Houts was shot and killed in September 2006. Detective Corporal Kenneth Armstrong died in August in a car crash while responding to a robbery call.
