Weather Causes Seven Collisions on Interstate 85 Thursday Afternoon

Traffic is moving once again on Interstate 85 after numerous auto collisions Thursday afternoon.

Montgomery Police spokesman Captain Huey Thornton tells WSFA.com that seven different collisions backed up southbound lanes of traffic from 1:30pm to about 3:15pm.

The accidents were spread out between the Perry Hill Road exit and Bell Road.

Only two people suffered injuries, and they were both minor.

Thornton says the accidents all appear to be weather-related.
