The USDA has expanded on the popular "my-pyramid" nutrition guide to include pregnant and nursing women.
Women who are expecting or have an infant can now log on to
to learn how to meet their special nutritional needs.
Users are asked to provide some basic information, for example whether they are pregnant or breastfeeding, and their age and weight.
The program then creates a personalized nutrition plan.
Women learn how much of a their daily food intake should come from grains, fruit, vegetables, milk and meat.
