Prattville Coach Files Financial Disclosure Forms

WSFA 12 News has an update regarding Prattville Football Coach Bill Clark and his financial disclosure form filed with the State Ethics Commission.

A published report had raised questions about Clark's income.

On Tuesday, shortly after 1:00 p.m., Clark filed a revised ethics form and WSFA 12 News obtained a copy of that report.

In his amended filing for calendar year 2006 Clark lists his position as head football coach, athletic director and gym facilitator.

Clark's salary of a little more than $60,000 was supplemented by a $12,000 consultants fee from the City of Prattville for conducting athletic camps.

In the revised form Clark reported in return for doing commercials for Victory Motor Company.

He was given a courtesy truck and other compensation worth between $1,000 and $10,000.

He also reported that the Prattville High Football Booster Club gave him a cell phone, gas card and other compensation worth between $1,000  and $10,000.

He further amended his form to say he earned less than $1,000 for speaking fees and an additional $1,000 to $10,000 from football camps.

Jim Sumner, who heads the state's ethics commission told WSFA 12 News that Coach Clark voluntarily came to the commission to make sure he was filing his form correctly.

Sumner said he went over the filing requirements with Coach Clark who made the revisions and handed over the revised form Tuesday afternoon.
