The downtown Montgomery skyline is changing again.
This time it's not another RSA building or state government project. It's a new high-rise jail.
Montgomery Sheriff D.T. Marshall says construction on the $50 million facility is about two weeks behind schedule, but other than that, there have been no major problems.
A bridge will connect the new jail to the old one, which is severely overcrowded.
There will be enough space to house 1,000 inmates.
However, the sheriff says even that won't be enough.
