Latest on Water Levels in Lake Allatoona

The army corps of engineers is warning a suburban atlanta water provider that it's drawing too much water out of a federal reservoir.

An analysis by the corps has found that the cobb county-marietta water authority pumped too much water from Lake Allatoona -- one of several Georgia reservoirs at the heart of a three-state water fight.

The corps is giving the authority 10 days to respond.

Meantime Governor Riley is thanking Alabama's two US Senators for their assistance in ensuring the Army Corps of Engineers enforces water withdrawal limits.

These limits were a key agreement reached on Thursday when the Governors of Alabama, Florida and Georgia met with the U.S. Interior Secretary and the Corps of Engineers in Washington to discuss water sharing.
