6 Democrats Qualify for Alabama's Presidential Primary

Senator Hillary Clinton continues to lead the pack in Alabama, nearly doubling her competition on a statewide poll in October.

Wednesday the Clinton campaign officially filed paperwork for Alabama's February 5th primary.

The presidential hopeful's name will be on the preferential primary ballot thanks to more than two-thousand registered voters who signed up to support her run for the White House.

Wednesday was the deadline to qualify for the Democrat Presidential Primary.

The Alabama Democratic Party tells WSFA 12 News 6 candidates have qualified to run in Alabama's primary: Sentors Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton; John Edwards, Joe Biden; Chris Dodd and Governor Bill Richardson.
