Insufficient Funds to Rebuild Enterprise Schools

New problems are arising for the Enterprise School System.

The system is short on funds to rebuild two schools.

You'll recall back in March a tornado destroyed Enterprise High School and damaged Hillcrest Elementary School.

System officials says it will cost $102 million to replace the buildings.

Currently there is a $42 million shortfall.

The Enterprise city council says it will have to borrow the money and the only way they could pay it back would be to raise the local sales tax by one cent.

If that doesn't happen they'll go back to the legislature to ask for more money.
