Butler County Inmates on the Streets for a Good Cause

Inmates are helping tackle a county-wide litter problem in Butler County.

The Sheriff's office recently launched a program that puts non-violent inmates back on the streets in order to clean up trash.

Litter has been an ongoing problem in Butler County.

Sheriff Kenny Harden proposed the idea and says a correctional officer remains with the inmates at all times.

For security reasons, the inmates never work in the same location twice.
