A 54 year old LaFayette woman dies in a traffic accident while driving from work.
Auburn Police say the accident happened Tuesday around 6 a.m. on South College Street off Technology Parkway.
Police say the victim, Mae Pearl Walton Ray was driving a Dodge Neon that collided with a Dodge truck. The truck then collided with another vehicle.
Ray was pronounced dead at the scene. Police add neither speed or alcohol was a factor in the accident.
Ray had just completed her shift at Briggs & Stratton. The accident is under investigation by Auburn's Police Department and the Lee County Coroners Office.
