Eddins is the owner of Eddins Properties in Montgomery.  He has served the YMCA through his involvement in the Metro Board of Directors and on the Southeast YMCA Board.  He has been a volunteer with the YMCA for over 30 years services as a Youth Sports Coach.  Eddins was a key player in starting the "Give Back" clinic which brought Auburn and Alabama players to Montgomery to help Youth Sports participants each year.

Eddins was a team captain on the 1975 Auburn University Football Team.  Eddins and his wife Nancy have three sons, Blake, Bret and Bart.  They are members of the Eastern Hills Baptist Church.
