One of the best gifts you can give to your child is the gift of reading.

A reading rich community is a community that prospers.

A book for every child is a great initiative we can all embrace.

It only takes one book to hook someone on reading.

Looking for that last minute gift?   Buy a book your child, relative or friend would enjoy.

Encourage your child to check out books from the library and read them together.

Alabama ranks in the bottom three states nationwide in the number of parents who read to their pre-kindergarten aged children daily.  Less than half of our pre-K children are read to every day.

Reading leads to the writing and speaking skills essential to growth.

And growth helps us all.
