Tuskegee Named National Champions for 8th Time

A big congratulations is in order for the Tuskegee Golden Tigers who are "National Champions" among historically black colleges and universities.

When the Golden Tigers say "We're number one" they've got the Sheridan poll to back them up.

The voting, like most of Tuskegee's game this season, wasn't even close.

The university picked up 28 of the 30 first-place votes in the poll easily out-distancing  runner-up Delaware State.

This is the 8th Black College National Title for Tuskegee and the first since 2000.

Congratulations to Coach Willie Slater and the undefeated 2007 national champion Golden Tigers.

They'll celebrate with a parade in Tuskegee on January 17, 2008.
