Two Pedestrians Killed on W. South Boulevard

Two pedestrians were killed Thursday night while attempting to cross a busy roadway.

Shirley and James Elmore of Hayneville were struck by a vehicle around 10:30pm as they crossed the 900 block of West South Boulevard.

The victims were transported to Baptist South Hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

Police officials say the driver of the vehicle did not see the pair as they crossed over the three lanes of traffic.

At this point no charges have been filed.
