Covering Houston County: Work Coming To Busy Dothan Road

WSFA 12 News is covering Dothan.

Some much needed traffic relief is coming for parts of Cottonwood Road. The Dothan City Commission has approved improvements to the intersections of Cottonwood at Beverlye, Forrester, and Saunders Roads.

To improve safety, and ease traffic flow, a new turn lane will be added. Paul Lee is the District 3 Commissioner. He tells WSFA 12 News, "It's a difficult intersection to work with and we have had the city, county and state engineers working on a way to fix this, and the main thing is for the traffic flow and safety."

The city also provide a driveway that connects Cottonwood Road to the parking lot of Trinity Lutheran Church.
