Soon, Montgomery City Hall could be as close as your tv remote.
City leaders are putting the finishing touches on a deal, that will turn your television set into a source for city happenings.
It is part of the mayor's plan to make city government more transparent. The program is called P.E.G. or public education governmental channel. It will air all things related to educational and governmental issues. The city has been fine tuning the deal with Charter and Knology to carry pre-recorded and some live programs like school events and city meetings.
The tentative agreement will also include the help of Troy University. The school would actually provide the studio and cameras to carry the programs. The city would be able to carry programming from not only city hall, but Cramton Bowl and the convention center.
