A playful project in Elmore County is bringing in some big bucks to improve technology in some area schools.
Lucretia Cauthen says she just woke up one morning with the idea to raffle off playhouses to raise money for elmore county schools. With support from the school system and the community. She put her plan into action, and on Tuesday morning, the money was handed out to some very grateful school leaders!
The playhouse raffle fundraiser generated almost $45,000 in profits, and was divided equally among Coosada Elementary, Robinson Springs Elementary, Millbrook Junior High, and Stanhope Elmore High School.
