Accident in Coffee County Kills Pedestrian

Elba, Ala. (WSFA) -- An accident in Coffee County has claimed the life of an Elba man.

The Elba Police Department tells WSFA 12 News, 60-year old Huber Edward Miller was killed Monday night at about 6:45 when he apparently stepped out in front of a car.

The 2001 Nissan Altima was driven by an Opp resident.

Coffee County EMS transported Miller to Elba General Hospital hospital.

He was then taken by helicopter to Southeast Medical Center in Dothan where he later died.

No charges have been filed against the driver, but an investigation is on-going.
