Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) -- WSFA 12 Sports brought you the news Tuesday night of Carver High School's head football coach Larry Ware leaving for a new job at Lee High School.
Now, WSFA Sports has learned that Ware has told his Carver players he's leaving for the Lee job.
The move is expected to become "official" Tuesday night when the school board votes on Lee's recommendation to hire Ware.
Larry Ware, Alabama's "Player of the Year" two decades ago for the Generals will inherit nearly the same situation at Lee that he found at Carver six years ago.
It's a program that did not win a single game the year before he arrived..
Ware and Lee Principal David Sikes both say they will not comment until after Tuesday's school board meeting.
