Head-On Collision Turns Fatal in Troy Accident

Troy, Al. (WSFA) -- A two car accident on U.S. Highway 87 in Troy has left one person dead.

State Troopers say a Dodge Durango traveling southbound on the highway crossed into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into a Volvo.

The driver of the Durango, 55-year old Robert Andress of Enterprise, was airlifted to a local hospital.

Another passenger in the Durango, 55-year old Nancy Andress died at the scene.

State troopers are investigating the accident.
