Students at one Covington County school were put on lockdown on Tuesday.
The Opp School Board tells WSFA 12 News the high school was put on lockdown after police responded to gunshots in the area. As a precautionary measure, the school went into lockdown mode.
Police say the gunshot was a self-inflicted off campus, and there was no danger at the school.
The governors of Florida, Alabama and Mississippi all declared states of emergency ahead of the storm.More >>
