Montgomery Police Investigate Vandalism Across Street from Abortion Clinic

Montgomery, Al. (WSFA) -- Montgomery police are investigating a crime they believe happened last night directly across the street from an abortion clinic on south Perry Street.

Pro-life supporters put a display of the crosses up to correspond with the 40 days of Lent.

When those supporters showed up Tuesday morning the crosses had been pulled out of the ground, tossed about and some of them were broken.

They say the overnight weather was not strong enough to do the damage and believe it was the work of vandals.

The pro-life supporters say they're not blaming the abortion clinic for the damages.

However, they are trying to get surveillance video from last night.
