Auburn, Al. (WSFA) -- The City of Auburn has long tried to deal with the split between being a college town, while still catering to the many families and residents who call it home.
Tuesday night, those two interests collided at the city council meeting, over a proposed student apartment complex.
If approved, it will add 900 residents to the area. To deal with the amount of traffic, developers want to build multiple access points to the new buildings.
However, residents who live nearby say all that traffic will run right through their neighborhood, an area that's full of kids.
