Troy Police Arrest Man in Attempted Murder Case

Troy, Al. (WSFA) -- A Troy man is facing attempted murder charges today.

According to Troy Police Chief Anthony Everage, Benjamin Franklin Williams was arrested Wednesday for attempted murder in connection with a shooting near Lightfoot Drive in Troy.

The incident occured on February 28.

Williams, a 19-year old from the Springhill area, turned himself in to police on Wednesday.

His was taken to the Pike County Jail where he is being held on $50,000 bond.

The victim in the related case was released from the hospital earlier this week.
