Birmingham, Al. -- Birmingham based Regions Financial corporation is continuing to add jobs after it's mega-merger with Amsouth Bank.
Regions' chairman says the company has added 400 jobs to the Birmingham area since the merger and he expects "several hundred more."
Some of those jobs came at the expense of Montgomery, however.
Regions closed its Montgomery call center when it merged with Union Planters in 2004, most of the Regions Montgomery Mortgage operation was moved to Memphis, Tennessee as a result.
Now those Memphis production offices have been relocated to Birmingham.
