Police in North Carolina now have both suspects in custody in the murder of the student body president at the University of North Carolina.
Before daybreak Thursday, police in Durham, North Carolina surrounded a house with 17-year-old Lawrence Alvin Lovette Jr. inside.
He gave up without a fight.
Investigators say he's the suspect captured by an ATM camera trying to use Eve Carson's ATM card.
On Wednesday, Chapel Hill Police Chief Brian Curran said, "We believe the driver of the car is Mr. Lovette"
Like Lovette, 21-year-old Demario James Atwater, also of Durham, now faces first-degree murder charges in the shooting death of Carson.
The 22-year-old was found last week lying on a city street in Chapel Hill shot several times.
The murder of the smart and popular woman from Athens, Georgia has kept the Carolina campus in mourning as vigils and memorial services are attended by thousands.
In another case, a warrant was filed Thursday charging the 17-year-old Lovette with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a graduate student at nearby Duke University in January.
